Can polymer clay be painted on with water-based paints?  Before or after baking?  And what kind of sealer do you use on the finished product?

Yes, you can paint on polymer clay, either before or after baking. We often seal painted clay with a coating of resin—usually called “doming.” We have also used Mona Lisa Top Coat to seal paint on polymer clay.
