I’m looking for a dye to color capiz shells. I’ve tried food coloring but it didn't work very well. Can you advise me. Thanks.

The food coloring needs a bit of vinegar to adhere to the shell, just like dying Easter eggs. Use 1/3 cup warm water, 1 Tbsp vinegar and as much of the gel food coloring you need to get the color you want to achieve.
