Hi I use Miyuki Delica seed beads, is there anything I can use i.e., (glue) to give them an extra bit of security of not breaking? Thanks.
Glue would actually take away the give in loomed or stitched pieces, making these glass beads more rigid and prone to breakage. If you are having trouble with Delicas breaking, you may be using too large a needle, doing too many passthroughs or using too thick a thread. You could also be pulling too hard. We recommend something like 4-pound Fireline or size B Nymo thread (or smaller) for use with #11 Delicas. A #11 Tulip needle is the perfect size to use but, whatever needle you use, make sure it’s a beading needle—these have a narrower eye. If you have issues threading the needle, a Wide Eye needle works great but will bend during use.
