Can you solder all jump rings? Or only ones made of certain metals? If so, what metals can be soldered?
It's safe to solder jump rings made of sterling and fine silver, copper and brass. It is sometimes possible to solder silver- and gold filled jump rings—test one out before planning a piece using this technique. We don't recommend soldering plated metal or aluminum, as the heat from the torch can damage the plating and melt the aluminum.
