I need instructions on making hat pins, please. 

To make a simple hat pin, start with a hat pin finding with either a head or a loop. For a pin with a head, thread on the desired beads and use a drop of glue on the end bead to hold them in place, making sure to leave plenty of space to thread the pin through your hat. For a pin finding with a loop, use a head pin (or pins) to create beaded dangles, then attach the dangles to the loop. Finish off your hat pin with a safety clutch to protect the pointed end and keep the pin in place.
