I try to make jewelry look nice in a gift box, but I know that as soon as someone moves the box around, the pieces won't stay the way I arranged them. A long time ago, I think I read about sticky dots or something similar to make the jewelry stay where it should. Do you have any additional information or suggestions to make jewelry stay put? Thanks.
You can use sticky dots or positioning wax, but then you may end up with residue on the jewelry. For a less messy way to make jewelry stay in place in a gift box, we suggest wiring the jewelry to the card in strategic places. For a pendant, you might place the pendant as you'd like it to stay. Use a fine awl to punch a hole in the card on either side of the bail, then use a piece of fine wire (about 24 gauge) in the color of the card to hold it in place, twisting it behind the card.
