What is the finest size thread suitable for pearls, please?

If you are knotting pearls, it is advisable to use a thread thick enough to separate the pearls with a single knot, so it depends upon the pearl hole size. For 2-4mm pearls, use size D. For 5-6mm pearls, use size E. For 7-8mm pearls, use size F. For 10-12mm pearls. use size FF.
