Jewelry Displays That Attract Buyers

Whether you're setting up for online photos, retail jewelry displays, or a craft-show booth, it's important to set the right stage for selling your jewelry. We have six out-of-the-box ideas to take your presentations to the next level.

1. Mirror the Jewelry

Your style doesn't have to stop with the jewelry. Incorporate the key elements into your backdrop and displays to use up any extra materials and bring the entire space together.

For example, if you're displaying chain jewelry, use the same chain in a backdrop to coordinate, or create a paper chain to add a bit of whimsy. When showcasing crystal jewelry use invisible cord to have Crystal Passions® "rain" from above or stylistically sprinkled around your designs.

2. Simulate Your Surroundings

Depending on where your store or retail space is located, you can incorporate items from the local area into your backdrops. If your hometown is famous for a particular product or natural landmark, use it in your design. This is especially good for areas with a high volume of tourist traffic.

Our hometown of Grants Pass, Oregon is famous for the Rogue River and river rafting. Give customers a sense of this by displaying jewelry in a river scene or on a miniature raft. Are you selling by the beach? Add shells, glass floats and more to the table.

3. Showcase a Season

Set the stage with a seasonal background. Entice customers with a holiday scene, the thought of cooling off in the summer with mock ice cubes, or celebrating fall with leaves. Promote gift-gifting holidays by using gift boxes and ribbons in your display.

4. Use Your Brand

Have a consistent element in your displays and backdrops so that your customers recognize your work. You can easily incorporate your business card, logo or a personalized brand element to your display. For example, Tiffany and Co. consistently uses their signature blue color and white satin ribbon in their gift-wrapping, store displays and website design. Create your brand, logo and color palette and consistently use them in your displays and advertising so customers can easily remember and recognize your designs.

5. Add Color, Texture and Fun

Color is a great way to catch people's attention. Use backdrops that are bright and inviting or add props that are unexpected and fun. Create an ombre background or use a single color that contrasts the tones of the jewelry. Just make sure that your background doesn't overpower the jewelry.

Texture is another great way to increase visual interest. Display your jewelry on faux ostrich skin, flagstone or other textured items that complement the piece.

6. Use the Power of Nature

Bring in natural elements, such as tree branches, sand, shells, rocks, leaves and more. Pearls can be displayed in oyster shells and nature-inspired jewelry designs look good dangling from tree branches. You can't beat the price of found natural elements and they can be painted and adapted to match any look.

Bonus Point:

Watch the scale: ensure your displays are neither too big nor too small for your setting space (retail, craft show table, etc.).
