Pavé-Style Setting Using the Tweezer Vac™

video

The compact, vacuum tool allows for precision placement. It works great for placing chatons, flat backs and small stones and when creating pavé-style jewelry. It is ideal when working with Kato Polyclay™ and 2-part epoxy as it doesn't leave any marks behind as you set stones. Instructions by Tammy Honaman, Author, Jewelry-Making Expert and Educator.

Instructions

Step 1

Assess which tip will work best for the stone you are working with. Attach this tip to the end of the Tweezer Vac.

Note: The Tweezer Vac can be used with or without rubber tips and many prefer to use without a tip for placing smaller chatons.

Step 2

Once you are ready to set stones, turn the Tweezer Vac on, push the button on the Tweezer Vac wand to create the suction, pick up the component, place it in the preferred area, then release the button to release the stone, setting it in place.
