Simply cut leather to desired length, insert a dab of glue, place leather into clasp ends and tighten with screws for added security. Watch the video above to see the process in slow-motion.
Instructions

Slide buckle face over hinged cross.

            Lay cross flat on buckle.

Cut flat leather cord to size. Slide leather cord into buckle slot. Be sure to align leather with screw holes.

Insert mini screws into screw holes.
Note: Screws hold securely but if desired, adhesive can be used sparingly.

Using a mini phillips screwdriver, tighten screws to secure buckle to leather. Repeat to secure second screw.

Insert flat leather cord into opposite buckle slot and secure screws.

Unbuckle clasp and place bracelet onto wrist. Resecure buckle and you are done.
Leather strap can be embellished for further enhancement.
