Tom Triplett
Meet the Designer-Artist
Tom Triplett moved quickly from being a new beader to being a professional in the bead and jewelry-design industry. Tom was co-owner of the internationally renowned bead store, Vegas Beads, in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada. Vegas Beads closed its doors in early 2009, and Tom furthered his career as Manager of the Content Development Group for Fire Mountain Gems and Beads in Grants Pass, Oregon. His duties included managing the creative group of designer-artists who make most of the amazing jewelry for the Fire Mountain catalogs, flyers and website.
Tom works primarily with crystal and enjoys projects using weaving techniques including right-angle weave and peyote. He brought his passion for crystal to his uniquely beautiful designs.
At Vegas Beads, Tom was the primary jewelry class instructor as well as the coordinator of the monthly class schedules. Tom brought his expertise to Fire Mountain, where he shared his knowledge as an expert team member of Fire Mountain's online Ask the Experts and in beading instructions. Tom also taught at the 2010 Bead and Button Show in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
