The Jewelry-Making Contest is currently closed. When and if the contest opens in the future, entry details and deadlines will be posted here.

All judging will be completed using the photos submitted with entries. Level of difficulty, application of technique, creativity and use of product will be the basis of judging. All entrants will receive an email with additional information after the first round of judging is completed.

Details, Rules, and Limitations

  • Submissions can be made through:
    • The online entry form
    • E-mailing the entry information to beadingcontests@firemtn.com
  • Submit a complete materials list of all products used in the design – size, color, material, shape and item number if available.
  • Submit a clear color image of the design – either upload a digital file up to 300 ppi and no larger than 4 MB. Up to 3 images may be submitted. See photo tips.
  • No purchase is necessary.
  • The design must contain at least 50% of the featured product/technique of the specific category being entered. (See the following design examples, Fig. 1 and 2, for an entry to the Seed Bead category.)
  • No more than three entries per person.
  • Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on the deadline.
  • Pieces that have won other jewelry contests may not be entered.
  • Once a design has been through the judging process, it may not be resubmitted to future Fire Mountain Gems Jewelry-Making Contests unless requested by the judging panel.
  • Domestic and international submissions are accepted. Click here for a list of countries not allowed at this time.
  • Entrants must be at least fifteen (15) years old at the time of entry.
  • Employees of Fire Mountain Gems and Beads are ineligible.
  • Entrants release the unlimited use of the photographs of the piece to Fire Mountain Gems and Beads. This agreement is on the online entry form. Submission of a design through any means will constitute agreement.
  • Entrants must document details on the entry packet regarding the use of any commercially purchased patterns, works of another artist used in the submitted design or any collaboration.
