Instructions

Turquoise and sterling silver bead necklace with a turquoise cabochon focal piece.

Step 1

hand holding beading wire passed through a a silver plated crimp tube with loop.

Cut a 24-inch length of Accu-Flex® professional-quality beading wire. For extra strength, use a crimp tube as well as a crimp tube with loop. First thread the end of the wire through a silver plated (SP) crimp tube and crimp (crimping instructions are included in with your crimping pliers).

Then thread a sterling silver (SS) crimp tube with loop on the wire. Using the wire tail, pull the SP crimp tube to the top of the SS crimp tube with loop. Apply a dab of 409 adhesive and crimp the tube using flat-nose pliers. This guarantees a strong finish for years of wear.

Step 2

An assortment of metal, magnesite and turquoise gemstone beads strung onto beading wire.

For the first segment, string the beads in the following pattern:

One pewter rondelle bead 5x5mm
One sterling silver beaded rondelle 5mm
Two magnesite rondelle beads
One sterling silver beaded rondelle 5mm
One faceted round bead 4mm

One sterling silver beaded rondelle 5mm
One silver plated bead cap
One turquoise round beads 8mm
One silver-plated bead cap

Step 3

For the second segment, string the beads in the following pattern:

One sterling silver beaded rondelle 5mm
One sterling silver beaded rondelle bead 5X3
One sterling silver rondelle 6X4
One sterling silver beaded rondelle 5X3
One sterling silver beaded rondelle 5mm

Step 4

For the third segment, string the beads in the following pattern:

Five magnesite rondelles
One sterling silver beaded rondelle 5mm
One sterling silver faceted round bead 4mm
One sterling silver beaded rondelle 5mm

Step 5

six turquoise round beads and two silver-plated bead caps, strung onto beading wire.

For the fourth segment, string the beads in the following pattern:

One silver-plated bead cap
Six turquoise round beads
One silver-plated bead cap

Step 6

For the fifth segment, repeat Step 3

Step 7

For the sixth segment and seventh segments, repeat Step 4

Step 8

For the seventh segment, repeat Step 5

Step 9

For the eight segment, repeat Step 4

Step 10

For the ninth segment, repeat Step 3

Step 11

For the center segment, string the beads in the following pattern:

One silver-plated bead cap
One turquoise round bead 8mm
One silver-plated bead cap
One sterling silver beaded rondelle 5mm
One magnesite rondelle 6mm

One sterling silver beaded rondelle 5mm
One sterling silver large beaded rondelle 6x4mm
One sterling silver tube with loop
This completes one side of your necklace, repeat the segments backwards to match the other side.

Step 12

To finish the end of the necklace, thread the end of the wire through a silver plated (SP) crimp tube and crimp (crimping instructions are included in with your crimping pliers). Thread a sterling silver (SS) crimp tube with loop on the wire, using the wire tail pull the SP crimp tube to the top of the SS crimp tube with loop.

Apply a dab of 409 adhesive and crimp the tube using flat-nose pliers.

Step 13

To add the clasp, use the split ring pliers to connect a split ring to each end of the necklace. Connect both split rings to the soldered rings on the clasp.

Step 14

Flat-nose pliers. A hand holding a cabochon, set in a cinch mount that is threaded through an eyepin and a large silver rondelle bead by beading wire.

To make the centerpiece follow these Steps:

A) Press the turquoise cab into the back side of the cinch mount, it should fit snug.
B) Using the flat-nose pliers, open the sterling silver eyepin, hang it over the loop of the cinch mount, close the loop over the cinch mount.
C) Thread one large sterling silver rondelle, 6x4mm, on the eyepin.
D) Clip eyepin 1/4 inch above the sterling silver rondelle; using round-nose pliers, form a loop in the end of the eyepin.
E) Thread the loop through the hole of the sterling silver tube with loop at the center of the necklace, close the loop.
