- Adhesive, E6000® Jewelry and Craft Adhesive, clear
- Bead, Czech glass druk, opaque satin purple, 6mm round
- Chain, gunmetal-plated brass, 2.5mm cable, 36 inches with 1-1/4 inch extender chain and lobster claw clasp
- Ear wire, gunmetal-plated brass, 16mm leverback with 7x2mm shield and open loop
- Seed bead, Delica®, glass, translucent silver-lined alabaster lilac, (DB0629), #11 round
- Seed bead, Delica®, glass, transparent silver-lined lilac, (DB1343), #11 round
- Seed bead, Miyuki, glass, translucent orchid-lined luster crystal clear, (RR222), #15 rocaille
- Seed bead, Miyuki, glass, translucent purple-lined rainbow amethyst, (RR356), #15 rocaille
- Seed bead, Miyuki, glass, transparent clear color-lined lilac, (DPF25), 4x3.4mm fringe
- Seed bead, Miyuki, glass, transparent clear color-lined purple, (DPF40), 4x3.4mm fringe
- Thread, Berkley® FireLine®, gel-spun polyethylene, smoke, 0.15mm diameter 4-fiber braid, 6-pound test
- Wire, Wrapit®, Nickel Silver, half-hard, round, 20 gauge
Instructions
Step 1
Using flush-cutters, cut the following:
- Two 4-inch lengths of 20-gauge round nickel silver wire
- Ten 3-inch lengths of gunmetal-plated 2mm cable chain

Step 2
Using scissors cut twenty 12-inch lengths of smoke FireLine® thread. String a beading needle onto one 12-inch length of thread.
Step 3
String onto the thread one silver-lined light purple #11 seed bead. Tie an overhand knot at the end of the thread. Place a small amount of adhesive (Loctite®) on the knot (optional).
Step 4
String onto the thread the following components:
- Forty-two silver-lined light purple #11 seed beads
- Two light lavender #15 seed beads
- One lilac lined fringe seed bead
- Two light lavender #15 seed beads
Pass the thread back up through the forty-two silver-lined light purple #11 seed beads.
Use a bead stopper to hold the beads on the strand.
Repeat to create ten beaded strands.
Step 5
Repeat to create ten beaded strands using:
- Forty-two silver-lined lilac #11 seed beads
- Two light blue violet #15 seed beads
- One purple lined fringe seed bead
- Two light blue violet #15 seed beads
Step 6
Match the top of thread on the twenty beaded strands. Using all ten strands, tie an overhand knot at the top to knot the strands together forming a tassel. Place a small amount of adhesive on the knot.
Step 7
Using chain-nose pliers wrap the end of one 4-inch length of 20-gauge wire around the base of the knot. Continue to wrap the wire around the knot to hold it securely in place.
Step 8
String onto the wire the first link of five 3-inch lengths of gunmetal-plated 2mm cable chain, one gunmetal-plated 15.5x15mm cone and one 6mm round purple satin glass bead. Finish the end with a wrapped loop.
Step 9
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open the loop on an earwire. Pass it through the wrapped loop on the tassel. Close the loop.
Step 10
Repeat Steps 2 - 9 to create the second earring.
