Fire Mountain Fix: T-Drilled Beads

Getting Your Thread Around The Corner
video

T-drilled guru beads can be tricky to thread your jewelry-making cord through. Here is a trick to stringing that final piece of your mala bracelet.

Instructions

Step 1

Insert the large loop on one eyelet beading needle into the half-drilled hole in one T-drilled bead.

Step 2

Insert one end of the cord through the horizontal cross-drilled hole in the bead, passing through the loop of the needle. Tie a square knot using both ends of the cord.

Tip: Be sure the knot is tight enough to fit around the corner of the T-drilled hole in the bead. It may be necessary to trim excess cord so it fits in the bead hole.

Step 3

Pull the needle so the cord passes up through the T-drilled hole in the bead.

String the cone portion of the bead set onto the needle then pull the beads snug. Trim the cord just below the knot.

Step 4

Pull the cord so the beads are snug and the bracelet is the preferred size, then tie a knot to secure the bracelet. Apply a small amount of E6000® to the knot then allow to dry.
