Single-Strand Necklace and Earring Set with Druzy Agate Gemstone Beads, Cabochons and Pendant, Hemalyke™ Beads and Chainmaille

Cut two 5-inch lengths of Accu-Flex® professional-quality beading wire.

String the following onto one 2-inch eyepin:

• One 4mm Hemalyke™ round
• Two 4x1mm heishis
• Two 4x1mm square rondelles
• Seven 2x1mm heishis
• One zuni-style bear pendant

• Two 4x1mm square rondelles
• Two 4x1mm heishis
• One 4mm Hemalyke round

Secure the eyepin with a simple loop then bend into a "U", so the pendant lays even in the center, to create one bear link.

String one 8mm grey druzy agate onto one 2-inch eyepin then form a simple loop. Repeat to create a total of ten grey druzy agate links.

Repeat to create nine 8mm rainbow druzy agate links.

String the following onto one 1-inch headpin:

• One 3x2mm smooth rondelle
• One 8mm grey druzy agate
• Two 4x1mm square rondelles
• One 4x1mm heishi
• Two 2x1mm heishis

Secure the headpin with a simple loop to create one grey druzy agate drop.

Repeat to create a total of six grey druzy agate drops.

Repeat to create four rainbow druzy agate drops.

Pass one 5.5mm jumpring through two 7mm jumprings then close. Repeat using a second 5.5mm jumpring creating a double jumpring. Repeat to create a total of 20 jumpring segments.

Use one 5.5mm jumpring to connect the top 7mm jumpring on the first jumpring segment, one loop on one grey druzy agate link and the top 7mm jumpring on the second jumpring segment. Repeat to connect the bottom 7mm jumprings and the remaining loop on the grey druzy agate link.

Use one 5.5mm jumpring to connect one rainbow druzy agate link to the top jumpring on the second jumpring segment and the top 7mm jumpring on a third jumpring segment. Repeat to connect the bottom 7mm jumprings and the remaining loop on the rainbow druzy agate link.

Continue this pattern alternating between grey and rainbow links, until each link has been connected, creating a link chain.

Use one 4mm jumpring to connect one grey druzy agate drop to the first 7mm jumpring on the bottom of the link chain.

Repeat to connect the following to the bottom of the link chain:

• One rainbow druzy agate drop to the third 7mm jumpring
• One grey druzy agate drop to the fifth 7mm jumpring
• One grey druzy agate drop to the seventh 7mm jumpring
• One rainbow druzy agate drop to the ninth 7mm jumpring
• One loop of the Hemalyke link to the tenth 7mm jumpring

• Remaining loop of the Hemalyke link to the eleventh 7mm jumpring
• One rainbow druzy agate drop to the twelfth 7mm jumpring
• One grey druzy agate drop to the fourteenth 7mm jumpring
• One grey druzy agate drop to the sixteenth 7mm jumpring
• One rainbow druzy agate drop to the eighteenth 7mm jumpring
• One grey druzy agate drop to the twentieth 7mm jumpring

String onto one length of beading wire: one crimp and one Accu-Guard™ wire protector. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the Accu-Guard leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end. Crimp then trim the excess from the short end of the beading wire. Finish with a crimp cover.

String the following onto the beading wire:

• One 4mm Hemalyke round
• One 3x2mm smooth rondelle
• Two 4x1mm square rondelles
• Two 4x1mm heishis
• Two sets of:

• Two 4x1mm square rondelles
• One 3x2mm smooth rondelle
• One 4mm Hemalyke round
• One 3x2mm smooth rondelle
• Two 4x1mm square rondelles
• Two 4x1mm heishis

• Two sets of (on second set, replace 8mm grey druzy agate round with 8mm rainbow druzy agate):

• One 8mm grey druzy agate
• Two 4x1mm heishis
• Two 4x1mm square rondelles
• One 3x2mm smooth rondelle
• One 4x1mm square rondelle

• One 4mm Hemalyke round
• One 4x1mm square rondelle
• One 3x2mm smooth rondelle
• Two 4x1mm square rondelles
• Two 4x1mm heishis

• One 8mm grey druzy agate

String onto the beading wire: one crimp, one Accu-Guard™ wire protector and one loop on the single loop side of one 12x5mm end bar. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the Accu-Guard leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end. Crimp then trim the excess from the short end of the beading wire. Finish with a crimp cover.

Repeat Steps 8 - 10 to create a second necklace strand.

Use one 5.5mm jumpring to connect the unused Accu-Guard on one necklace strand to one lobster claw clasp.

Pass one 5.5mm jumpring through the Accu-Guard on the second necklace strand and a second 5.5mm jumpring then close.

Pass a third 5.5mm jumpring though the previous jumpring and a new 5.5mm jumpring. Continue to connect a total of eight jumprings creating a chain.

Use one 5.5mm jumpring to connect one 7mm jumpring on one end of the link chain to one of the two remaining loops of one end bar. Repeat to attach the second 7mm jumpring on the same end of the link chain to the last loop of the end bar.

Repeat to connect the opposite end of the link chain to the loops of the second end bar.

Cut two 3/4 -inch circles from a sheet of Lacy's Stiff Stuff™.

Apply a small amount of E6000® Jewelry and Craft Adhesive to the back of one 10mm druzy agate cabochon. Place the cabochon in the center of the Lacy's Stiff Stuff circle then allow to dry according to manufacturer's instructions.

Tip: It is important to apply enough adhesive to secure the edges of the cabochons to the fabric, but not so much that it comes out around the edges. This could cause issues with the needle passing through the fabric later.

Cut one 6-foot length of Nymo® thread. Thread a beading needle almost doubling the thread (to make it easier to work with) but leaving a tail so you are working with only one thread. Knot the end of the working thread.

Pass the needle through the Lacy's Stiff Stuff, from back to front, close to the edge of the cabochon. String four luster grey #11 seed beads then pass down through the fabric. Pull the thread tight securing the beads in place. Skip back two seed beads, pass up through the fabric then through the two seed beads.

String five luster grey #11 seed beads then continue down through the fabric. Skip back three seed beads (three just stitched) and pass up through the fabric then through the three seed beads. Repeat to stitch five seed beads at a time around the circumference of the cabochon.

Repeat to embroider a second row around the first, using gold #11 seed beads in place of the grey luster. When the row is complete, stitch back through the adjacent seed beads to secure the thread then trim excess thread.

Cut a new length of thread then thread a needle. Knot the end of the working thread. Pass the needle up through the fabric.

Pass the needle through one seed bead in the first row. String one luster grey #11 seed bead and one silver-finished #15 seed bead then pass down through two seed beads in the first row and back through the two seed beads just added.

String one more luster grey #11 seed bead and one more silver-finished #15 seed bead then pass through the next two seed beads from the first row and back through the two seed beads just added. Continue to stitch around the entire first row adding a row of alternating #11 and #15 seed beads.

Stitch back through the adjacent seed beads to secure the thread then trim excess thread.

Apply E6000 to the back of the fabric then press a piece of leather scrap onto the fabric and allow to dry. Trim the leather close around the edge of the Lacy's Stiff Stuff.

Cut a new length of thread then thread a needle. Knot the end of the working thread. Pass the needle between the two layers of fabric and up through the Lacy's Stiff Stuff, close to the edge, concealing the knot.

String two luster grey #11 seed beads then pass the needle through the edge of both layers of fabric, approximately 2mm from the previous stitch. Pass up through the fabric layers and the second seed bead.

String one seed bead, pass down through the edge of the fabric layers approximately 1mm from the previous bead then up through the previous seed bead. Repeat to create a brick stitch around the entire edge of the leather base.

When the pattern is complete, stitch back through the adjacent seed beads to secure the thread then trim excess thread.

Attach one 4x3mm oval jumpring to the thread of the brick stitch between two seed beads. Use one 5.5mm jumpring to connect the 4x3mm oval jumpring to the loop of one fishhook earwire.

Repeat Steps 2 - 9 to create a second earring.
