Cut two 2-inch, two 2.5-inch, and two 2.75-inch lengths of 20-gauge bronze wire.
Use the 5/8-inch disc cutter to cut a hole in the brass sheet 1/2-inch from the edge.
Center the hole just created exactly in the largest hole in the cutter and punch out the disc, that will look like a donut.
Use shears to cut disc in half.
Use shears to cut a wedge 1/8-inch down from the top outside edge of the disc half, to the top inside edge, on both sides to create the base component.
File all corners and burs, then sand all edges.
Tip: Use PRO-CUT™ wax lubricant to lubricate the punch when using the disc cutter to make cutting easy and extend the life of your tool.
Use hole punch to punch holes in right and left inside top corner of the base component, then file and sand the back edge of all holes smooth, if needed.
Center a 2-inch 20-gauge wire on smaller barrel of the large Wubbers® jumbo mandrel pliers, then make a 180-degree bend to form a U shape.
Make simple loops at both ends of the U-shaped wire, then attach to the base component.
Punch a hole bottom center of the base component.
To create a rolled head pin, hammer the end of a 2.5-inch 20-gauge wire with the domed face hammer about 3/4 inch up making a graduated incline. Use the smallest barrel of small Wubbers® round mandrel pliers to roll end of wire over itself to the end of the incline, centering the roll on the wire.
Thread on alternating one size 11 seed bead and one 8mm watermelon glass bead until you have threaded on four seed beads and three watermelon glass beads.
Make a simple loop at the opposite end, in the opposite direction, of the bottom rolled head. Cut off excess wire.
Attach the simple loop to the bottom hole in the base component.
Make one revolution around the smallest barrel of jumbo round mandrel pliers with a 2.75-inch 20 gauge wire, leaving one long tail. Use smallest barrel of small round mandrel pliers to make a simple loop by rolling the short tail outwards. Use chain nose pliers, make a slight outward bend in bottom1/4-inch of the long tail. Sand end of hook with sanding pad until smooth to the touch.
Optional: Add the French hook loop at the top of the U-shaped base component wire.
Repeat Steps 2 through 6 for the second earring.
