Instructions
While shown as a twisted choker, this necklace can be worn in dozens of ways: wear it twisted or wear the strands unlatched and knotted at the end; wear strands individually; wear them in groups of three or four. You decide - this is never the same necklace twice!
Instructions as seen in Simply Beads, February 2005
For each strand, cut a 100-inch length of nylon and thread through a beading needle. Pull nylon until ends are even. Hold ends together and tie in a secure knot.
Create individual strands as specified below or as desired.
Strand 1: Alternate red bugle beads and rainbow ruby red bugle beads for 42 inches.
Strand 2: Thread 21 inches of red triangle beads and 21 inches of red rainbow triangle beads.
Strand 3: Thread 21 inches of matte red cube beads and 21 inches of red-lined clear cube beads.
Strand 4: Thread 21 inches of rainbow ruby red seed beads and 21 inches of silver lined ruby red seed beads.
Strand 5: Thread 10 transparent rainbow strawberry delica beads and 1 Siam Austrian crystal bead. Repeat until 42 inches are threaded.
Strand 6: Thread 21 inches of metallic raspberry hex delica beads and 21 inches of cherry-lined clear delica beads.
Strand 7: Thread 21 inches of opaque matte dark red delica beads and 21 inches of translucent orange/red delica beads.
After strand is beaded, bring beginning and ending thread ends together, knot securely and dot knot with a drop of jewelry cement. When cement is dry, trim ends.
To wear as a twisted choker, loop one end of all strands over opened clasp. Loop other ends of strands over one finger and twist several times. Wrap twisted strands around neck, place clasp through ends around finger and close.
