- Charm, enamel and silver-plated "pewter" (zinc-based alloy), multicolored with glitter, 24x16mm single-sided Santa Claus with Christmas tree
- Clasp, button, silver-plated brass, 7.5mm round
- Cone, Hill Tribes, silver-plated copper, 16x8mm hammered with 7mm inside diameter
- Bead, silver-plated brass, 3mm round
- Adhesive, E6000® Fray Lock™, crystal clear
- Seed bead, Dyna-Mites™, glass, silver-lined translucent ruby red, #6 round
- Seed bead, Dyna-Mites™, glass, opaque white, #6 round
- Seed bead, Dyna-Mites™, glass, silver-lined translucent emerald green, #6 round with square hole
- Cord, imitation silk, white, 1mm
- Head pin, silver-plated brass, 3 inches, 21 gauge
- Jump ring, silver-plated brass, 4mm round, 2.4mm inside diameter, 20 gauge
- Thread, Nymo®, nylon, black, size OO
Instructions
Step 1
Cut eight 3-foot lengths of imitation silk cord.
Gather the cords together and tie an overhand knot approximately 2 inches from the end.
Step 2
Insert the knotted end of the cords into the center of a round kumihimo disk. Place the cords according to the spiral kumihimo braid instructions.

Step 3
String the following onto each cord then tie a knot to keep beads from falling off:
- Approximately 1-1/2 to 2 inches of silver-lined emerald green #6 seed beads
- Approximately 3 to 3-1/2 inches of white #6 seed beads
- Approximately 1-1/2 to 2 inches of silver-lined ruby red #6 seed beads
Notes:
- For a random color shift of beads in the finished braid, the length of each color should be slightly different on each cord
- For color blocking in the finished braid, the same number of each color should be strung onto each cord
- To reduce tangling while braiding, wrap each beaded cord onto a Huggy Spool®
Step 4
Braid a standard 8-strand spiral kumihimo braid for 1/4 inch.
Step 5
Continue to use the 8-strand spiral kumihimo braid technique while adding beads until all the beads are used. Slide a bead down into the braid with each cord movement, positioning the bead under the adjacent cord in the center of the disk.
Step 6
Repeat Step 4 for 1/4 inch.
Step 7
Remove the cords from the disk and the Huggy Spools. Gather and tie an overhand knot close to the braid end, then trim excess.
Step 8
Insert a head pin out through the overhand knot at the end of the braid, hiding the head within the braid under the knot. For additional security add adhesive to the knot.
Pass the straight end of the head pin through a cone then string a 3mm silver plated round. Pull the beaded braid tightly against the cone then create a wrapped loop.
Repeat to secure the opposite end of the braid.
Step 9
Use a 4mm jump ring to attach a Santa Claus charm to one end of the bracelet.
Repeat to add half a button clasp to each end of the bracelet.
