- Thread, Berkley® FireLine®, gel-spun polyethylene, smoke, 0.13mm diameter 4-fiber braid, 4-pound test
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare a loom with 16 warp threads.
Step 2
Thread an arm's length of Fireline® thread onto a beading needle. Loosely tie the tail of the thread to the loom to secure.
Step 3

Pick up the beads of the first row of the loom pattern (available above), keeping the beads on the needle. Hold the needle to the back of the warp thread, positioning each bead between two threads. Pull the thread through the seed beads, keeping them in place with your finger.
Pass back through the seed beads in front of the warp threads and pull snug.
Repeat to create the pattern in the desired length.
Note: Depending on the size of the loom, you may need to create multiple sections of beading.
Step 4
Pass through the second-to-last row of beads then through various beads to secure the thread. Trim any excess thread.
Step 5
Untie the tail from the loom then add a loom needle. Temporarily secure the thread.
Step 6
Remove one warp thread from the loom and add a needle. Pass through various beads to secure the thread. If desired, add a small knot for additional security.
Repeat to secure all the warp threads on both ends.
Step 7
Repeat Steps 1 - 6 to create as many lengths of beading as desired.
Step 8
Add a beading needle to a tail thread on a beaded section. Stitch the first row of the beaded section to the last row of another beaded section. Weave the thread through various beads to secure.
Repeat to attach all the beaded sections end-to-end.
Step 9
Add a leather needle to a length of Fireline. Pass through the existing stitch hole of a leather belt then back through the next hole. Tie a small knot to secure the end of the thread to the belt.
Hold the beading in place on the belt and whip stitch down one side. Tie a small knot to secure the thread. Trim any excess thread.
Repeat to secure the other side of the beading.
Step 10
Cut an arm's length of Fireline thread and add a beading needle.
Step 11
Use peyote stitch to create a beaded section for the belt loop. Do not trim the thread.
Step 12
Pass the beaded loop through the appropriate section of the belt. Stitch the first and last rows of the peyote stitch section together to create the loop.
Step 13
Pass through various beads to secure the thread. If desired, create a small knot for additional security. Trim any excess thread.
