- Bead reamer, Beadalon®, plastic and diamond-coated steel, blue and black, 5-1/2 x 1-1/4 inches with 2-inch tips
Instructions
Necklace 1
Step 1
Cut one 16-inch length of 0.84mm Gossamer™ 14Kt gold-filled add-a-bead chain.
Step 2
Slide a strawberry quartz flat teardrop bead onto the chain.
Step 3
Add an 8x3mm 14Kt gold-filled lobster claw clasp to one end of the chain using a 3.5mm 22-gauge 14Kt gold-filled round jump ring.
Add a 4.5mm 20-gauge 14Kt gold-filled round jump ring to the opposite end of the chain.
Necklace 2
Step 1
Cut two 8-1/2 inch lengths of 2.7mm 14Kt gold-filled oval starburst chain.
Step 2
Thread the following onto a 2-3/16 inch 14Kt gold-filled 21-gauge eye pin:
- Three 4x2mm-5.5x3mm hand-cut citrine rondelle beads
- Three 4x2.5mm-7x4mm hand-cut natural rhodochrosite rondelle beads
- Three 4x2.5mm hand-cut emerald rondelle beads
- Three 4x2.5mm-7x4mm hand-cut natural rhodochrosite rondelle beads
- Three 4x2mm-5.5x3mm hand-cut citrine rondelle beads
Finish the eye pin with a simple loop equal in size to the loop on the other end of the eye pin. Then curve the beaded pin very slightly using your fingers.
Step 3
Add an 8-1/2 inch length of 2.7mm 14Kt gold-filled oval starburst chain to one of the eyes on the eye pin. Repeat for the other side.
Step 4
Add an 8x3mm 14Kt gold-filled lobster-claw clasp to the end of one of the chains using a 3.5mm 14Kt gold-filled 22-gauge round jump ring.
Add a 4.5mm 14Kt gold-filled 20-gauge round jump ring to the opposite end of the chain.
Necklace 3
Step 1
Cut fifteen 1-inch sections of 2mm 14Kt gold-filled flat figaro chain, starting and ending each section with a large link, so each 1-inch section will contain three large lengths.
Step 2
Create a link by threading the following onto a 1-11/16 inch 14Kt gold-filled 24-gauge eye pin.
- One 2mm 14Kt gold-filled smooth round bead
- One 3x2mm faceted emerald rondelle bead
- One 2mm 14Kt gold-filled smooth round bead
Finish the link with a simple loop the same size as the opposite end of the eye pin.
Repeat 13 times for a total of 14 links.
Step 3
Make the embellished chain by attaching one of the 1-inch lengths of chain you cut in Step 1 of Necklace 3 to the loop in one of the links. Attach a second 1-inch length of chain to the opposite loop in that link.
Add the loop of a second link to one of the free ends of chain and continue this process until you have one continuous chain of 14 links between 15 lengths of chain.
Step 4
Add an 8x3mm 14Kt gold-filled lobster-claw clasp to one of the free ends of the embellished chain, using a 3.5mm 14Kt gold-filled 22-gauge round jump ring.
Add a 4.5mm 14Kt gold-filled 20-gauge round jump ring to the free end of the chain.
Earrings
Step 1
Cut two 1-inch lengths of 2.7mm 14Kt gold-filled oval starburst chain.
Step 2
Make a drop by threading the following onto a 2-3/16 inch 14Kt gold-filled 21-gauge eye pin:
- One 2mm 14Kt gold-filled smooth round bead
- One 4x2mm-5.5x3mm citrine rondelle bead
- One 4x2.5mm-7x4mm rhodochrosite rondelle bead
- One 4x2.5mm hand-cut emerald rondelle bead
- One 4x2.5mm-7x4mm rhodochrosite rondelle bead
- One 4x2mm-5.5x3mm hand-cut citrine rondelle bead
- One 2mm14Kt gold-filled smooth round bead
Finish the drop with the simple loop.
Step 3
Add the loop of the drop to one end of one of the 1-inch sections of 2.7mm 14Kt gold-filled oval starburst chain that you cut in Step 1.
Add a 12mm 14Kt gold-filled diamond-cut fishhook ear wires to the opposite end of the chain.
Step 4
Repeat Steps 1 - 3 for the second earring.
