Instructions
Apply E-6000® Fray Lock™ approximately 10 inches from the end and to the very end of the soutache cord. Repeat applying the Fray Lock approximately 6 and 12 inches from the end and to the end of the imitation silk cord (for the earrings). Allow to dry for approximately 2 - 5 hours.
Once the cord is dry cut one 12-inch length and one 10-inch length of red 18-gauge Zebra Wire™.
String approximately 130 red #8 seed beads onto the end of the green 24-gauge Zebra Wire™ (still on the spool). Use the Coiling Gizmo® to coil the 24-gauge wire for approximately 12 inches, interspersing seed beads on random coils. Trim the coil from the spool then remove it from the rod.
String the coil onto the end of the green 18-gauge wire (still on the spool). Create approximately 2 coils on one end of the 18-gauge wire then continue to coil the previous coil. Finish with approximately 2 coils on the opposite end of the 18-gauge wire. Trim the coil from the spool then remove it from the rod.
String the coil onto the 10-inch length of red wire then bring the ends of the red wire together. Form a wrapped loop on one end of the wire then wrap the other end of the wire around the base of the first wrap to secure the ends of the wreath pendant together. Trim excess wire.
Use an 8mm jump ring to connect a red ball chain to the loop on the wreath pendant. Tie the length of soutache cord in a bow around the wrapped area of the loop.
Tip: If desired, apply a small amount of Fray Lock to secure the knot in place.
Cut two 6-inch lengths of the imitation silk cord and two 6-inch lengths of red 20-gauge Zebra Wire.
String approximately 30 red #15 rocailles onto the end of the green 24-gauge Zebra Wire™ (still on the spool). Use the Coiling Gizmo to coil the 24-gauge wire for 3 inches, interspersing seed beads on approximately every other coil. Trim the coil from the spool then remove it from the rod. Trim the coil into two 1-1/2 inch sections.
String one coil onto the 6-inch length of red wire then bring the ends of the red wire together. Form a wrapped loop on one end of the wire then wrap the other end of the wire around the base of the first wrap to secure the ends of the wreath pendant together. Trim excess wire.
Attach one fishhook ear wire to the loop on the wreath pendant. Tie one length of cord in a bow around the wrapped area of the loop. Apply a small amount of Fray Lock to the knotted area to secure it in place.
Repeat Steps 3 and 4 to create a second earring.
