Cut one 3-inch and ten 1-inch lengths of chain with the oval links in the center of each length.
Form a simple loop on one end of an eye pin. Pass an 8mm round amethyst bead onto the eye pin then form a simple loop on the other end of the eye pin.
Repeat to create a total of eight round links.
Repeat Step 2 using 19x12mm oval amethyst beads to create two oval links.
Attach one end of a 1-inch chain length to one end of a round link. Attach one end of a new 1-inch chain length to the end of the same round link.
Repeat four times then attach one oval link to complete the pattern, as seen in the image above.
Attach the 3-inch chain length to the end of the pattern created in Step 4.
Form a wrapped loop onto an amethyst focal using sterling silver wire. Attach the focal to the center oval of the 3-inch chain link.
Find the connecting links two links above each side of the same oval and connect them with a jump ring. This will create a drop effect when the necklace is complete.
Starting at the end of the 3-inch chain length, repeat the pattern from Step 4 in the opposite direction.
Pass a jump ring through one end of the necklace and a clasp then close. Attach a jump ring to the other end of the necklace to complete the necklace.
Cut a length of chain two round links long.
Form a simple loop on one end of an eye pin. Pass an 8mm round bead onto the eye pin then form a simple loop on the other end. Attach to one chain link.
Form a wrapped loop onto an amethyst focal using sterling silver wire. Attach to the other chain link.
Attach to an ear wire to complete the earring.
Repeat to create a second earring.
