Instructions
Cut eight 2-1/4 inch lengths of 22-gauge 12Kt gold-filled dead-soft round wire.
Make a small metal link by threading a 3mm 14Kt gold-filled hammered round bead onto a 1-5/8 inch 22-gauge 14Kt gold-filled eye pin. Finish the link with a simple loop equal in size to the eye. Repeat three times for a total of four small metal links.
Make a large metal link by threading a 5mm 14Kt gold-filled hammered round bead onto a 1-5/8 inch 22-gauge 14Kt gold-filled eye pin. Finish the link with a simple loop equal in size to the eye. Repeat three times for a total of four large metal links.
Add one end of a small metal link to the jump ring that comes attached to one end of a 14.5x8.5mm gold-plate-over-sterling-silver S-hook clasp
Make an amethyst link by making a small simple loop at the end of a 2-1/4 inch length of 22-gauge 12Kt gold-filled dead-soft round wire. Thread on a 6mm amethyst round bead. Make a loop at the opposite end, leaving 2mm of space. Wrap the tail back up the bead halfway on one side, around the stem of the original loop, then back down the opposite side of the bead, finishing with a wrap around the second loop.
Attach one end of the amethyst link to the small metal link attached to the clasp. Then attach a large metal link to the opposite end of the amethyst link. Continue this pattern of one small metal link, one amethyst link then a large metal link until you have a chain of eight amethyst links ending in one small metal link. Attach the final small metal link to the jump ring on the free end of the clasp.
Cut two 2-1/4 inch lengths of 22-gauge 12Kt gold-filled dead-soft round wire.
Make an amethyst link as in Step 5 of the bracelet instructions above.
Make a metal link by threading a 4mm 14Kt gold-filled hammered round bead onto a 2-inch 21-gauge 14Kt gold-filled head pin. Finish the link with a simple loop, attaching it to one end of the amethyst link you created in Step 2 before closing the loop.
Attach the opposite end of the amethyst link to a 15mm 21-gauge fishhook gold-finished ear wire.
Repeat Steps 2 through 4 for the second earring.
