- Head pin, gold-plated brass, 2 inches, 24 gauge
- Wire, ParaWire™, gold-finished and silver-plated copper, round, 24 gauge
- Bead, light peach, Crystal Passions® 3mm bicone 5328
- Bead, light rose, Crystal Passions® 4mm bicone 5328
- Jump ring, gold-plated brass, 4.5mm round, 2.9mm inside diameter, 20 gauge
- Rainbow moonstone, hand-cut rondelle bead natural 5x3mm
- Chain, gold-finished brass, 2.3mm paperclip
- Bead vintage rose, Crystal Passions® 3mm bicone 5328
- Charm, gold-finished "pewter" (zinc-based alloy) and crystals, pink, 19x16mm single-sided awareness ribbon
- Peach moonstone, hand-cut diagonally-drilled faceted puffed heart bead natural 8x8mm
- Clasp, lobster claw, gold-plated brass, 8x5mm with swivel
Instructions
Step 1
Cut the following lengths of 2.3mm gold-finished paperclip chain:
- One 8-1/4 inch length
- One 1-1/4 inch length
- One 1-inch length
- 8 single links
Cut fourteen 3-inch lengths of ParaWire™ 24-gauge gold-finished and silver-plated copper wire.
Step 2
Make a heart link by making a small wrapped loop in the end of one of the 3-inch lengths of wire, adding one end of the 1-inch length of paperclip chain before wrapping. Then thread on one 3mm Crystal Passions® light peach bicone bead and one 8x8mm peach moonstone faceted puffed heart bead, top end first. Finally, make a small wrapped loop to finish the link, dropping one of the single paperclip chain links into the loop before wrapping.
Step 3
Make a small link by making a small wrapped loop in the end of another of the 3-inch lengths of wire, adding the single paperclip chain link on the end of the heart link you just made. Then thread on one 3mm Crystal Passions light peach bicone bead, one 4mm Crystal Passions light rose bicone bead, one 5x3mm rainbow moonstone rondelle bead, another 4mm light rose bicone bead and then another 3mm light peach bicone bead. Finish the link with a small wrapped loop, adding a single paperclip chain link into the loop before wrapping.
Step 4
Continue this pattern, making a second heart link (as in Step 2), one more small link (as in Step 3), then a third heart link.
Step 5
Add a 4.5mm 20-gauge gold-plated round jump ring to the single paperclip chain link in the end of the chain of links you created. Then add one end of the 8-1/2 inch paperclip chain and the 1-1/4 inch paperclip chain so it falls between to bottom side of the links and 8-1/2 inch paperclip chain.
Step 6
Make another small link (as in Step 3), adding the free end of the 1-1/4 inch paperclip chain before wrapping the first end. Then add a fourth heart link (as in Step 2).
Step 7
Create a drop by threading onto a 2-inch 24-gauge gold-plated head pin one 3mm Crystal Passions light peach bicone bead, one 5x3mm rainbow moonstone rondelle bead and one 4mm Crystal Passions® light rose bicone bead. Finish the drop with a small wrapped loop, adding in the single paperclip chain link before wrapping, and attach to the end of the 1-1/4 inch paperclip chain.
Step 8
Add an awareness ribbon charm to the jump ring in the center of the chains, using one new 4.5mm 20-gauge gold-plated round jump ring. Thread the new jump ring though the center jump ring and through the one on the charm.
Step 9
Add an 8x5mm gold-plated lobster claw swivel clasp to the right side of the necklace, using a 4.5mm 20-gauge gold-plated round jump ring. Add a 4.5mm 20-gauge gold-plated round jump ring to the opposite end of chain in the necklace.
