Empowered with Meg Ryan Feature

Jewelry making is more than beads, wire and tools. It’s an art form that connects people and sparks creativity. Fire Mountain Gems and Beads is proud to share that our dedication to makers everywhere was highlighted in Empowered with Meg Ryan, a nationally recognized program that celebrates education, craftsmanship and innovation.

What Is the Empowered Video Series?

Empowered is a story-driven educational series that shines a spotlight on organizations making a difference in their industries. Each segment is carefully produced to combine interviews, behind-the-scenes footage and inspiring narratives, reaching millions of viewers across multiple platforms.

When the Empowered team approached us, they were excited about the artistry and community behind jewelry-making. Together, we developed a series of videos designed to celebrate the creativity and passion of makers everywhere and to share our story in a new way.

Why We Did It

Since 1973, Fire Mountain Gems and Beads has been more than a supplier, we’ve been a partner to artists and hobbyists around the world. Participating in Empowered gave us the chance to tell that story to a wider audience.

The project included:

  • Interviews with key team members to highlight our mission and history.
  • Footage of our work and culture, giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look.
  • Spotlights on artistry and education, showcasing how jewelry-making empowers people to create and connect.

This collaboration aligned with our mission: to support makers, provide quality materials and celebrate the joy of creating.

Three Videos, One Story

The Empowered collaboration resulted in three unique pieces, each with a different focus:

  1. Public Television Segment (3–5 minutes) – An educational short airing nationwide, hosted by Meg Ryan. While this resource is no longer available, we are proud to say we were part of the Empowered family.

  2. Corporate Image Feature (5–6 minutes) – A behind-the-scenes profile with an in-depth look at our company, shared with targeted viewers.

  3. 30-Second Digital Short – A quick, engaging feature airing on major networks like Fox Business and Discovery Life.
