I've seen twisted necklaces made with seed beads that appear to be "set" in the twist pattern, yet I can't figure out how they do it. They don't use glue or attachments, and they untwist if you open them. Any ideas?
One way to permanently twist a necklace is with multi-strand clasps. For example, when connecting the clasp halves to a 5-strand necklace, attach the first strand to the third loop on the other clasp half, the second strand to the fourth strand, the third strand to the fifth loop, the fourth loop to the first loop and the fifth strand to the second loop. This will give your necklace a nice twisted pattern.
