Topics: Bead, Pearl Knotting

Is there a tool which will help me to knot beads? I am a beginner and would like to learn to string beads that look like a knotted pair of pearls.

Yes, there are two great tools for knotting, each with a how-to video for instructions. The easyknotter® is a compact, accurate and easy-to-use tool for creating evenly spaced knots in beaded and strung jewelry. The easyknotter can be used by both right-handed and left-handed knotters, with 1/4 inch increment markings on either side which helps you evenly space your knots and beads. The tool includes full-color, step-by-step instructions and a knob for covering the knotting pin when not in use. The easyknotter is recommended for use with size 6 silk thread; however, most cording can also be knotted using this tool. Use caution when knotting beads with sharp or abrasive edges as they may cut or wear the thread with repeated movement.

The Bead Knotter™ was designed for professionally knotting pearls and beads quickly (as fast as 5 seconds per bead) useing silk or nylon beading cords and threads. The Bead Knotter is 5-1/2 inches in length and can be used by left or right-handed people. Instructions for both tools are listed in the resource section below, along with a how-to video on hand knotting pearls.
