I make rosaries with 8mm filigree silver bead caps with Czech glass beads. I have glued the bead cap onto the Czech 8mm bead so that it doesn't move apart when being handled in prayer. What type of adhesives are correct for this application?
Most adhesives for non-porous surfaces will do the job. It would be best to use an adhesive that dries clear since many bead caps are filigree. A glue or adhesive with a curing time of about 30 minutes will allow you some working time. Helmar® foam or gemstone glues are options to consider as they work on multiple surface types and dry clear. Helmar Super-Tac glue is fast-acting and ideal for unusual shapes. G-S Hypo cement adhesive and E-6000® Jewelry and Craft Adhesive are also suitable adhesives for the materials you are working with but do take longer to cure. Follow manufacturer's instructions for best results.
