I would like to know the best method for bending silver tubing. Plumbers and jewelers must have a secret method. What is it?
There may not be a deep dark secret to bending silver tubing. The interior of the tubing needs to be filled to prevent creases and breaks. Sand is packed into the tube and buffers the bend. Cutting a tube is then done with a jeweler’s saw and fine blade, or with a tube cutter.
Manufactured tubes come in various metals and are pre-formed. There are many sizes in both length and width.
