I'm trying to make a necklace with a lamp worked frog bead (H20-2474FB) that is top-heavy. I would like the bead to hang horizontally on the string with the frog on top, but because the frog is heavier he always hangs underneath. I have tried using smaller beads inside the large bead, using a thick cord, clamping the ends of the bead with bead caps, and using clay to stuff the bead. None of this helps, as the poor frog is still upside-down. How do I get him to stay upright?

What a cute little guy! A macramé necklace, knotted to frame the froggy bead securely will keep the little guy from flipping upside down. See the bracelet design ideas from the Gallery of designs for examples of this concept. Macramé is fun and simple to learn if you don't know how. Try one of our books on macramé from Katie DuMont or Bead and Button®. Good luck with your froggy friend.
