Multi-Strand Necklace with Sterling Silver Chain and Porcelain Ceramic Beads

Let your creativity bloom with this spring-fresh necklace. Porcelain focal components combine with pearls for a cool, bright look. Add sterling silver chain for an eye-catching necklace with an elegant drape.
STEP 1
Cut 24-inch of heavy-cable chain. Locate the center link and mark it with a piece of wire, a jumpring or twist tie.
STEP 2
With the porcelain station facing you, link a round jumpring through the left-hole of one porcelain station and then through the link to the left of the center marker; close the jumpring. Link another jumpring through the right-hole of the porcelain station and then through the link to the right of the center marker; close the jumpring.
STEP 3
Measure 3-inch to the left of the center link and repeat Step 2. Measure 3-inch to the right of the center link and repeat Step 2.
STEP 4
Cut a 20-inch length of the flat cable chain; set aside.
STEP 5
Cut an 18-inch length of heavy cable chain; find and mark the center link. Link a round jumpring through the hole of a freeform porcelain link and then through the center link of the chain; close the jumpring. Add two more freeform porcelain links to both sides of the center leaf, spacing them equal distance apart.
STEP 6
Cut a 3/4 inch piece of 24-gauge wire. Place a pearl in the center of the wire; place the round-nose pliers right above the pearl and bend the wire to a 90 degree angle. Grasp the tip of the wire with the round-nose pliers, then rotate your wrist, which will rotate the wire around one nose of the pliers, creating a simple loop. Repeat for the other half of the wire so you have a simple loop on each end of the pearl.
STEP 7
Repeat Step 6 to create a total of four pearls with simple loops on each end.
STEP 8
Using chain-nose pliers, open one simple loop and link it to a simple loop on another pearl; close the loop. This unit will be the center element.
STEP 9
Cut four 3-1/2 inch lengths of cable chain. Link the loop on one pearl to the last link of one length of chain. Link another length of chain to the loop on the other side of the pearl; link one end loop of the center element to the end of this length of chain. Link a length of chain to the other loop on the end of the other pearl. Link the last pearl to the other side of this length of chain.
STEP 10
Lay all of your chains out in a row. Open an oval jumpring. Carefully gather the last link of each chain, working from the bottom (longest) row up, add half of your clasp then close the jumpring. Repeat for the other half of your necklace.
Enjoy!
