The radiant sparkle of crystal with the flash of sterling silver glitters alluringly. These easy-to-make earrings can have many variations; use these instructions as a jumping-off point for your own flights of creative fancy.
||Preparation: Cut 4 lengths of chain: two 2-inch and two 3-inch lengths. Open 4 jumprings using flat-nose pliers, attach these to one of each of the ends of the chain segments that will attach to the earwires.
Put the ball tip headpin through the cube. Cut the headpin a tiny bit further than the width of the plier tip (as shown) and form a loop, leave some space to attach the fine chain loop.
||Begin with the shorter length of chain. Slide one of the cable loops in the chain segment over the loop made with the headpin. Close the loop with the pliers, as shown.
||Attach the jumpring on the other end of the chain to the earwire loop using the opening and closing technique. The first dangle is completed.
||Prepare the second longer crystal cube and sterling silver chain dangle the same way as the first, but this time attach the jumpring to the earwire by sliding it over the earwire.
Repeat Steps 1 - 4 to create the second earring.
