Attaching the Clasp

STEP 2
Using side-cutting pliers, cut two 7-inch lengths of sterling silver 10x7mm with 4mm links chain, having three 4mm links on each end. Cut one 2-1/2 inch length of 10x7mm with 4mm links chain so there is a 10x7 link on each end.
STEP 3
Using two pairs of chain-nose pliers, open the 6mm textured sterling silver loop and pass it through the last link on one end of the 2-1/2 inch length of chain. Close the loop.
STEP 4
Using two pairs of chain-nose pliers, open a 5.3mm sterling silver jumpring and pass it through the loop on one half of the clasp and the last link on one end of one 7-inch length of chain. Close the jumpring.

Repeat to attach the second piece of chain to the other half of the clasp.
STEP 5
Using chain-nose pliers, open the loop on one 4mm dark indigo bicone crystal drop and pass the open loop through the 6mm ring added in Step 3. Repeat to attach a second 4mm dark indigo bicone crystal drop to the 6mm ring.

Starting with the first link of chain below the 6mm ring and working your way down, continue adding the following drops: eight 6mm round dark indigo drops and 12 8mm round dark indigo drops. Position the drops so they are on one side of the links on the 2-1/2 inch length of chain and graduating from smallest to largest.

Repeat Step 5 to attach two 4mm bicone Indian pink drops, eight 6mm round Indian pink drops, and 12 8mm round Indian pink drops to the other side of the chain.

Assembling the Necklace

STEP 6
Using the flush-cutters, cut a 22-inch length of Accu-Flex® beading wire. String onto the wire one crimp tube, a 1/2 inch piece of French wire and the last link of chain attached to the clasp (from Step 4). Pass the wire back through the crimp tube, leaving one end of the wire approximately 1-inch long.

Pull the crimp tight against the French wire and the last link of chain so the French wire is formed in a nicely curved tube. Place a small amount of Loctite 409 adhesive inside the crimp (optional).

Using the crimping pliers, crimp the crimp tube. Using wire nippers, trim the excess wire from the short end.
STEP 7
String onto the wire:
  • 36 - 4mm Swarovski Indian pink bicone crystal drops
  • 12 - 4mm Swarovski Indian pink round crystal drops
  • 36 - 6mm Swarovski Indian pink round crystal drops
  • 36 - 8mm Swarovski Indian pink round crystal drops
  • the 6mm sterling textured link from the dangle of crystals made in Step 5
  • 36 - 8mm Swarovski dark indigo round crystal drops
  • 36 - 6mm Swarovski dark indigo round crystal drops
  • 12 - 4mm Swarovski dark indigo round crystal drops
  • 36 - 4mm Swarovski dark indigo bicone crystal drops
STEP 8
Place one crimp tube on the beading wire after 4mm dark indigo bicone crystal drop, a 1/2 inch of French wire and the last link of the other 7-inch chain attached to the other half of the clasp. Pass the wire back through crimp, then pull the wire snugly so the crimp and the French wire are closer to the jumpring. Make sure there is no slack along the length by rotating the crystals around the beading wire to create a tight look on the necklace. Place a small amount of Loctite 409 gel adhesive inside the crimp (optional).

Using the crimping pliers, crimp the crimp tube. Trim the excess wire from the end.
