Bracelet with Glass Beads and Seed Beads

A peppermint Christmas candy bracelet looks good-enough-to-eat cute! Quick single-strand design goes together in a cinch.

STEP 1
Measure and cut a 10-inch length of brick red Accu-flex® professional quality beading wire. Thread onto the beading wire, one crimp bead and the loop on the ring half of the twisted sterling silver toggle clasp.

Pass the beading wire back through the crimp bead, leaving one end of the wire approximately 1-inch long, then pull the crimp and bead tight against the loop of the clasp. Using your crimping pliers, crimp the crimp bead. Using the side-cutting pliers, cut the 1-inch tail.

For a professional finish, place a crimp cover over the crimp bead then, using chain-nose pliers, gently close the crimp cover for a secure fit. Then, string on one white seed bead, one red seed bead and one red seed bead.
STEP 2
String a total of six sets of the following beads onto the beading wire, alternating between red and green-colored lampworked beads:
  • Sterling silver bead cap
  • 12mm Lampwork dotted glass bead
  • Sterling silver bead cap
  • Frosted red square seed bead
  • White square seed bead
  • Frosted red square seed bead
  • White square seed bead
STEP 3
String a crimp bead and the loop on the other half of the twisted sterling silver toggle clasp onto the beading wire, then pass the beading wire back through the crimp bead and pull the wire snugly so the crimp and the clasp are closer to the beads. Make sure there is no slack along the length of the bracelet yet the strand is not taut, it should have a nice drape. Using the crimping pliers, crimp the crimp bead. Cut the tail of the beading wire. Place a crimp cover over the crimp bead then, using chain-nose pliers, gently squeeze the crimp cover closed.
