Earrings with Swarovski Crystal Beads and Drops, Sterling Silver Cones and Wire Wrap

STEP 1
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers, open the loop on one eyepin.

Be sure to open the loop upward and not out, so you maintain the roundness of the loop.

Slip the open loop over a soldered jumpring; close the loop.
STEP 2
Repeat, adding a total of 13 eyepins around the soldered jumpring.
STEP 3
Place the beading cone over four eyepins positioned next to each other on the ring. Pull the wires so the jumpring and all the eyepin loops are hidden inside the cone.
STEP 4
Place onto the top eyepin on the ring (inside the cone) three Swarovski 3mm bicone aquamarine crystals and one Swarovski 4mm bicone peridot crystal.
STEP 5
Slide the crystals up to the loop on the eyepin. Using flush-cutters, trim the eyepin so there is about 1-1/2 inches of wire remaining.

Using round-nose pliers, grip the tip of the eyepin and form a loop. Continue forming the loop until you have two layers of wire next to each other (not stacked on top of each other). Using flat-nose pliers, grip across the developing spiral, placing the spiral close to the joint of the pliers. Moving your wrist away from your body, begin to move the wire so the spiral continues to grow and the layers lay close together. Continue forming the spiral until you reach the crystals.
STEP 6
Repeat Step 5 adding beads to the eyepins in the following order and finishing with a spiral:
  • Three Swarovski 3mm bicone aquamarine crystals and one Swarovski 4mm bicone peridot crystal
  • Five Swarovski 3mm bicone aquamarine crystals and one Swarovski 4mm bicone peridot crystal
  • Six Swarovski 3mm bicone aquamarine crystals and three Swarovski 4mm bicone peridot crystals
  • Six Swarovski 3mm bicone aquamarine crystals and two Swarovski 4mm bicone peridot crystals
  • Six Swarovski 3mm bicone aquamarine crystals and two Swarovski 4mm bicone peridot crystals
  • Four Swarovski 3mm bicone aquamarine crystals and one Swarovski 4mm bicone peridot crystal
  • Three Swarovski 3mm bicone aquamarine crystals and one Swarovski 4mm bicone peridot crystal
  • Four Swarovski 3mm bicone aquamarine crystals and one Swarovski 4mm bicone peridot crystal
STEP 7
Open a 6mm jumpring and pass it through the hole on a top-drilled bicone and one of the spirals formed below the bicone crystals in Step 6. Close the jumpring.

Repeat adding peridot and aquamarine top-drilled bicones to each drop made in Step 6 and Step 5.
STEP 8
Pull the eyepins extending out above the beading cone so the drops created in Step 6 are nestled together in the cone and extending down, yet have room to ''breathe.''

Place a snowflake rondelle onto the wires and slide it down until it rests on the top of the beading cone.

Using a pair of chain-nose pliers, bend one eyepin down at a 90-degree angle.

Repeat for two of the other eyepins, leaving one centered and straight up.

Trim each of the bent eyepins to 3/4 to 1-inch in length. Form a spiral with each length of wire, having the spiral facing down toward the cone, and extending over the snowflake rondelle. Space the spirals equally around the top of the cone.
STEP 9
Trim the remaining eyepin so there is about 1-1/2 inches of wire to work with. Form a spiral so it rests right in the center, above the smaller spirals.
STEP 10
Open a 6mm jumpring and pass the open ring through the spiral formed in Step 9 and through the loop on the bottom of an earwire. Close the jumpring.
STEP 11
Repeat Steps 1 - 10 to make the second earring.

Optional: Gently shape the wires extending below the cone with your fingers so they have a flowing look to them rather than being straight down.
