Single-Strand Necklace and Earring Set with Czech Pressed Glass Beads, Celestial Crystal® Beads and Wirework

Necklace

STEP 1
Using a pair of flush-cutters cut the following:
  • One 12-inch and four 10-inch lengths of bronze 20-gauge round dead-soft wire
  • Five 10-inch lengths of bronze 24-gauge round dead-soft wire
  • Two 5-inch lengths of gold plated 11x6mm cable chain
STEP 2
Using a pair of round-nose pliers, chain-nose pliers and flush-cutters, form a loop on the straight end of a 10-inch length of bronze 24-gauge round half-hard wire, leaving 1/4 inch under the loop to finish the wrapped loop at the end. String onto the wire, one 20x9.5mm teardrop light red glass bead. Finish the straight end of the wire with a wrapped loop. Continue to wrap the wire loosely around the teardrop bead approximately four times. Finish the opposite end with a wrapped loop on the 1/4 inch wire left under the first loop. Using flush-cutters, cut any excess wire. Repeat to create a total of five red teardrop wrapped beading links.

Using a pair of round-nose pliers and chain-nose pliers create a total of five 6mm faceted round emerald crystal bead drops, using one 6mm faceted round emerald crystal bead and one 1-inch headpin forming a simple loop on the straight end of the wire.

Repeat to create a total of ten 4mm faceted round emerald crystal bead drops, using one 4mm faceted round emerald crystal bead and one 1-inch headpin.
STEP 3
Using the wire jig, create a 6-loop link using a 10-inch length of bronze 20-gauge round dead-soft wire. Repeat to create a total of four bronze wire 6-loop links.

Using the wire jig, create a 7-loop focal piece link using a 12-inch length of bronze 20-gauge round dead-soft wire.
STEP 4
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open a 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the loop on the hook portion of the clasp and the first link on a 5-inch length of gold-plated 11x6mm cable chain. Close the jumpring.

Open a 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the last link on the 5-inch length of gold-plated 11x6mm cable chain and the first loop on a bronze wire 6-loop link. Close the jumpring.
STEP 5
Continue connecting components in the following order with one 4mm jumpring in between each beading link:
  • One bronze wire 6-loop link
  • One 7-loop focal piece link
  • Two bronze wire 6-loop links
STEP 6
Repeat Step 4 to attach the second 5-inch length of gold-plated 11x6mm cable chain to the eye portion of the clasp.
STEP 7
Open a 3mm jumpring. Pass it through the first outside loop on the first bronze wire 6-loop link and a 4mm faceted round emerald crystal bead drop. Close the jumpring.

Repeat to attach a 4mm faceted round emerald crystal bead drop to the second loop on the first bronze wire 6-loop link, the first and second loops on the second, third and fourth bronze wire 6-loop links, and the first and seventh loop on the 7-loop focal piece link.

Repeat to attach a red teardrop wrapped beading link to the second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth loop on the 7-loop focal piece link.
STEP 8
Open the loop on a 6mm faceted round emerald crystal bead drop. Pass the loop through the opposite loop on the first red teardrop wrapped beading link. Repeat to attach a 6mm faceted round emerald crystal bead drop to the opposite loop on each of the red teardrop wrapped beading links.

Earrings

STEP 1
Using a pair of flush-cutters cut the following:
  • Two 8-inch lengths of bronze 20-gauge round dead-soft wire
  • Two 8-inch lengths of bronze 24-gauge round dead-soft wire
STEP 2
Using a pair of round-nose pliers, chain-nose pliers and flush-cutters, form a loop on the straight end of an 8-inch length of bronze 24-gauge round dead-soft wire, leaving 1/4 inch under the loop to finish the wrapped loop at the end. String onto the wire, one 17x7.5mm oval light red glass bead. Finish the straight end of the wire with a wrapped loop. Continue to wrap the wire loosely around the oval bead approximately four times. Finish the opposite end with a wrapped loop on the 1/4 inch wire left under the first loop. Using a pair of flush-cutters, cut any excess wire. Repeat to create a total of two red oval wrapped beading links.

Using a pair of round-nose pliers and chain-nose pliers create a total of two 4mm faceted round emerald crystal bead drops, using one 4mm faceted round emerald crystal bead and one 1-inch headpin forming a simple loop on the straight end of the wire.
STEP 3
Using the wire jig, create a 4-loop link using an 8-inch length of bronze 20-gauge round dead-soft wire. Repeat to create a total of two bronze wire 4-loop links. (See pattern)
STEP 4
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open the loop on an earwire. Pass it through the first loop on a bronze wire 4-loop link. Close the loop.
STEP 5
Open a 3mm jumpring. Pass it through the bottom loop on the bronze wire 4-loop link and a red oval wrapped beading link. Close the jumpring.
STEP 6
Open the loop on a 4mm faceted round emerald crystal bead drop. Pass the loop through the opposite loop on the red oval wrapped beading link.
STEP 7
Repeat Steps 4 - 6 to create the second earring.
