Double-Strand Necklace with Gunmetal-Plated Brass Beads and Chain and Glass Pearls

STEP 1
Using flush-cutters, cut the following:
  • One 35-link section of gunmetal-plated 21x14mm twisted oval chain
  • One 27-inch length of Accu-Flex® professional-quality beading wire
STEP 2
Using round-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open one gunmetal-plated 7mm jumpring and pass it through the loop on the ring portion of one gunmetal-finished star toggle clasp and the first link on the 35-link section of chain. Close the jumpring. (The bar portion of the clasp is not used in this design as it is replaced with a lobster claw clasp.)

Repeat to attach the last link on the 35-link section of chain to one gunmetal-plated 14x8mm lobster claw clasp using double jumprings.
STEP 3
String onto the beading wire one gunmetal-plated 3x2mm crimp bead and the jumpring attached to the ring portion of the star toggle clasp. Pass the wire back through the crimp bead pulling the wire snug against the jumpring. Place a small amount of adhesive (Loctite®) inside the crimp (optional). Using the crimping pliers, crimp the crimp bead. Using flush-cutters, trim the excess wire from the short end. Place a gunmetal-plated crimp cover over the crimp bead then gently close it.
STEP 4
String the following components onto the beading wire:
  • Five gunmetal-plated 4mm round beads
  • Two gunmetal-plated 6x2mm beaded rondelle beads
  • One pewter 10mm glass pearl bead
  • Two gunmetal-plated 6x2mm beaded rondelle beads

Repeat stringing this pattern for a total of nine sets.
