Single-Strand Necklace and Earring Set with Swarovski Sew-On Components, Suede Realeather® Components and Brass Components

Riveting layers of suede and metal together creates this symbolic angel pendant. A Swarovski crystal navette pendant, set in the center of the angel, is complemented by the crystals linked together in the chain.

STEP 1
Using the hole-punch pliers, punch holes in the following components in the following manner:

Enlarge the hole already in place in the 34mm brass circle. Place a 2nd hole directly opposite the first hole.

Enlarge the hole already in place in each leaf.

Enlarge the hole already in place in the sun component. Add a new hole on another point in the sun, a few points away from the original hole. Add a third hole, off center.

Enlarge the hole already in place in the 15mm brass circle.
STEP 2
Thread a brad through a flower washer (figure A), one hole on a purple leather leaf, the hole in the small brass circle (figure B), the hole in each leaf (positioned accordingly as wings), the hole in the sun, one hole in the oval pink leather marquise (figure C), one hole in the large brass circle and a second flower washer (figure D).

STEP 3
Place the assembly face down onto a steel bench block. If needed, trim the brad so only 1/8 inch of material remains. Gently strike the end of the brad so the metal splays out enough to secure the pieces together.
STEP 4
Apply a bit of E-6000® jewelry and craft adhesive to the center of the pink leather marquise. Place the navette onto the glue then allow to dry ten minutes.
STEP 5
Thread a brad through a flower washer, the lower hole on the purple leather leaf, the lower hole on the pink leather marquise, the lower hole on the large brass circle and then a second flower washer.

Repeat Step 3, making sure to offset the navette from the steel bench block.
STEP 6
Use jumprings to attach sew-on crystals to each side of the pendant, then to connect more sew-on stones together. Use a jumpring to connect one half of the sew-on stone chain to a flower charm. Use two jumprings to connect the other side of the flower charm to a 4-1/2 inch length of brass chain. Use a jumpring to connect the other half of the sew-on stone chain to a 5-1/2 inch length of brass chain. Use jumprings to add a half of the toggle clasp to each end of the brass chain.
