Double-Strand Necklace and Earring Set with Red Jasper Gemstone Beads, Antiqued Silver-Plated "Pewter" Focal and Zebra Wire™

Necklace

STEP 1
Using flush-cutters cut the following:
  • One 25-inch length of Accu-Flex® professional-quality beading wire
  • Two 6-inch lengths of beading wire
  • Two 8-inch lengths of beading wire
  • Three 12-inch lengths of Zebra Wire™ silver color copper wire
  • Two 7-inch lengths of silver-finished 13x9mm twisted cable chain
STEP 2
Place one end of one 12-inch length of Zebra Wire onto the ring mandrel at the size 14 mark. Wrap the wire around the mandrel twice creating two rings. Remove the ring mandrel and continue a third ring loosely spiraling the wire around the previous two rings, keeping the spirals as even as possible.

Overlap the third ring slightly and create 3 - 4 tight wraps securing all three rings and the end of the wire in place creating a spiral wrap component.

Repeat to create a total of three spiral wrap components.

Tip: Begin the wrap approximately 1 - 2 sizes larger than desired finished size.
STEP 3
String one red jasper 12mm round onto one silver-plated 2-inch eyepin. Using a pair of chain-nose pliers, round-nose pliers and flush-cutters form a simple loop on the straight end of the wire creating a 12mm round link.
STEP 4
Using a pair of chain-nose and bent-nose pliers open eleven silver-plated 7mm jumprings.

Pass one 7mm jumpring through the loop on one antiqued silver-plated 35x10mm infinity focal. Close the jumpring. Repeat to connect the loop on one end of one 12mm round link and previous 7mm jumpring on the infinity focal.

  • One sterling silver 2x2mm twisted crimp bead
  • One Accu-Guard™ wire protector

Pass the beading wire back through the crimp bead. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the Accu-Guard leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end. Place a small amount of adhesive (Loctite®) inside the crimp (optional).

Using crimping pliers crimp the crimp bead. Using flush-cutters trim the excess from the short end of the beading wire. Place one silver-plated 4mm crimp cover over the crimp bead then gently close it.
