Single-Strand Necklace and Earring Set with Swarovski Crystal and Antiqued Gold-Plated Brass Beads

Necklace

STEP 1
Mix equal parts of Devcon® 2-part epoxy. Using a toothpick, apply a small amount of epoxy to the interior of the mount portion of one 13x11mm gold-plated tab clasp and the back of one Swarovski crystal clear 8x6mm oval fancy stone. Place the fancy stone in the mount then set aside and allow to dry according to manufacturer’s instructions.
STEP 2
Using flush-cutters, cut one 20-inch length of Accu-Flex® professional-quality beading wire.
STEP 3
String onto the beading wire one sterling silver 2x2mm crimp bead and one gold-plated Accu-Guard™ wire protector. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp bead. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the Accu-Guard leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end. Place a small amount of adhesive (Loctite®) inside the crimp (optional).

Using crimping pliers, crimp the crimp bead. Using flush-cutters, trim the excess from the short end of the beading wire. Place on antiqued gold-plated 3mm crimp cover over the crimp bead then gently close it.
STEP 4
String onto the beading wire six sets of one Swarovski copper 8mm round pearl and one antiqued gold-plated 2.5mm corrugated round.

Continue to string one Swarovski copper 10mm pearl, one gold-plated and Swarovski 8mm rondelle and one Swarovski copper 10mm pearl.

String onto the beading wire three sets of one antiqued gold-plated 2.5mm corrugated round and one Swarovski copper 10mm pearl.

Continue to string one gold-plated and Swarovski 8mm rondelle and one Swarovski copper 12mm round pearl.

String onto the beading wire two sets of one gold-plated 2.5mm corrugated round and one Swarovski copper 12mm round pearl.

Continue to string the following:
  • Two gold-plated and Swarovski 10mm rondelles
  • One Swarovski copper 14mm round pearl
  • Two gold-plated and Swarovski 10mm rondelles
  • One Swarovski copper 14mm round pearl
  • One antiqued gold-plated 2.5mm corrugated round
  • One Swarovski copper 14mm round pearl
STEP 5
Continue to string one antiqued gold-plated 2.5mm corrugated round then repeat Step 4 in the reverse order to string the second half of the necklace.
STEP 6
Repeat Step 3 to terminate the second half of the necklace.
STEP 7
Using a pair of chain-nose and bent-nose pliers open two 5.5mm gold-plated jumprings.

Pass one jumpring through the Accu-Guard wire protector on one half of the necklace and the loop on the tab portion of one gold-plated 13x11mm tab clasp. Close the jumpring.

Repeat to attach the opposite end of the necklace to the second half of the clasp.

Earrings

STEP 1
String one Swarovski crystal AB 10.5x7mm teardrop onto one gold-plated headpin. Using a pair of chain-nose pliers, round-nose pliers and flush-cutters form a simple loop on the straight end of the wire creating a Swarovski teardrop drop.
STEP 2
Using flush-cutters, cut the head off of one gold-plated 3-inch headpin.
STEP 3
Form a simple loop on one end of the wire. String the following onto the straight end of the wire:
  • One gold-plated and Swarovski 8mm rondelle
  • One Swarovski copper 10mm round pearl
  • One gold-plated and Swarovski 8mm rondelle
  • One Swarovksi copper 8mm round pearl
Form a simple loop on the end of the wire creating a crystal pearl link.
STEP 4
Using a pair of chain-nose and bent-nose pliers open the loop on the Swarovski teardrop drop and pass it through the bottom loop of the Swarovski pearl link. Close the loop.

Open a gold-plated 4mm round jumpring and pass it through the loop on one gold-plated 17mm fancy fishhook earwire and the loop top loop on the Swarovski pearl link. Close the jumpring.
STEP 5
Repeat Steps 1 - 4 to create the second earring.
