Attach one 4mm jumpring to one wood 25mm cutout flower drop.
Cut four 5-foot lengths white 1mm polyester twine cord and one 7-foot length white size D Nymo® nylon thread.
Cut one 3/4 inch length and one 1-3/4 inch length gold-finished 3.5mm round and oval chain.
Match the four 5-foot lengths of cord and the length of thread together. Apply a small amount of Loctite® gel to the ends of the cord and thread. Insert the ends into one 8x5mm ribbon crimp end then close.
Tip: Pin or tape the strands to your work station to make it easier to form even knots.
Make a square knot using the two outside strands (working strands 1 and 4) over the two inside strands (anchor strands 2 and 3) and the length of thread.
Basic square knot pattern:
Pass strand 1 over the anchor strands then pass strand 4 over strand 1, under the anchor strands and up through the loop (created by strand 1) then pull snug. (This is a half knot.)
Pass strand 4 over the anchor strands then pass strand 1 over strand 4, under the base strands and up through the loop (created by strand 4) then pull snug.
Note: You must alternate starting with strand 1 then strand 4 to get a flat pattern. If you start consistently with the same strand, the pattern will twist.
Continue creating square knots for approximately 1 inch.
Separate the thread from the anchor strands and set aside then string one wood 5-6mm round onto the two cord anchor strands. Bring the working strands around the outside of the bead then make one square knot around the anchor strands.
Repeat to create a total of eighteen sets of one wood round and one square knot.
String one wood round onto the two cord anchor strands. Create a half knot, string the jumpring on the cutout flower drop onto one of the working strands then finish the square knot.
Continue to create nineteen sets of one wood round and one square knot then continue to create just square knots for approximately 1 inch to finish the necklace.
Trim the remainder of the cord even to approximately 1/4 inch then apply Loctite the ends and attach a ribbon crimp end.
Thread a needle onto the length of thread from Step 5.
String five satin sand cultured freshwater pearls. Pass the thread through the square knot on the opposite side of the first wood round, close to the bead and pull snug. (The pearls should line one side of the wood bead.) Work diagonally through the square knot close to the next bead. Repeat to add a set of five pearls to each wood bead on the necklace.
Pass the thread through the macramé on the opposite side of the necklace and tie a knot to secure the thread.
Using a 4mm jumpring attach the first link on the 3/4 inch length of chain to the ribbon crimp end loop on one end of the necklace. Repeat to attach the last link on the chain to the loop one lobster claw clasp.
Repeat to attach the first link on the 1-3/4 inch length of chain to the ribbon crimp end loop on the opposite end of the necklace.
String onto one 1-1/4 inch eyepin; one 2mm squared round, one wood round and one 2mm squared round then form a simple loop. Repeat to create a second wood round link.
Using a 4mm jumpring connect one 19mm cutout flower drop to the loop on one end of one wood round link.
Open the loop on the opposite end of the wood link and pass it through the loop on one fishhook earwire then close.
Repeat Steps 2 and 3 to create a second earring.
