Multi-Strand Necklace and Earring Set with Denim Lapis Gemstone Beads, Lapis Lazuli Drops and Lapis Lazuli Focals

Necklace

STEP 1
On a sheet of paper, draw a rough crescent shape approximately 7 inches wide and approximately 1-1/2 inches high, on one end tapering down to a rounded point on the opposite end of the curved focal.

Place the top half of one 36x22mm arrowhead and one 30x15mm arrowhead onto the paper, near the wider end of the focal then trace around the shapes.

Cut around the paper curved focal and the arrowhead shapes. Use a glue stick, or other temporary glue, to affix the cut-out focal to a 6x6-inch jeweler's bronze sheet.
STEP 2
Using a saw blade and bench pin, cut out the outer edge and the arrowhead shapes of the crescent of the crescent focal.
STEP 3
Using a EUROTOOL® punch, create one hole on the smaller end and three centered holes along the edge of the wider end of the focal.

Repeat to create one centered hole approximately 35mm from the smaller end of the focal and one centered hole along the top edge of each arrowhead cut-out.
STEP 4
Place the focal on a flat work surface front side up. Using a texturing hammer and firm even strokes, texture the front of the crescent focal. Flip the focal over then texture the back surface of the focal, also creating a gentle curve. Use the Jooltool™ to polish the front and back and remove rough edges.
STEP 5
Insert one brass micro screw into the hole on one lapis lazuli 30x15mm arrowhead focal and through the hole below the end hole on the smaller end of the crescent focal. Screw a micro nut onto the end of the screw and secure with a small drop of Vigor® Super Glue.
STEP 6
Cut the following lengths of 3.3mm cable chain: one 3-inch, one 4-inch, one 5-inch, one 7-inch, one 8-inch and one 9-inch length.
STEP 7
Pass one 6mm twisted jumpring through the loop on one lapis lazuli 30x15mm arrowhead focal, the first link on the 4-inch length of chain and the hole at the top of the inner arrowhead cut-out then close. Repeat to attach the 36x22mm arrowhead and the first link on the 5-inch length of chain to the hole at the top of the outer arrowhead cut-out.

Use one 8mm twisted jumpring to connect the last links on the lengths of chain, the first link on the 3-inch length of chain and the hole on the smaller end of the crescent focal.
STEP 8
Use one 6mm twisted jumpring to attach the 7-inch length of chain to the top hole on the wider end of the crescent focal. Repeat to attach the 8-inch and 9-inch lengths of chain to the remaining holes on the wide end.

Use one 6mm smooth jumpring to attach the last link on the 7-inch length of chain to the top loop on one 25x4.5mm 3-loop end bar. Repeat to attach the 8-inch and 9-inch lengths of chain to the remaining holes on the end bar.

Repeat to attach the last link on the 3-inch length of chain to one lobster claw clasp.
STEP 9
String two denim lapis medium chips onto one 3/4 inch headpin then form a simple loop. Repeat to create a total of 25 lapis chip drops.
STEP 10
Use one 4mm jumpring through to attach one lapis chip drop to the 4-inch length of chain, approximately 1-1/2 inches from one the wide end of the crescent focal. Repeat to attach a second drop approximately 3/4 inches from the previous.

Repeat to attach one lapis chip drop to the 5-inch length of chain to the approximately fourth link from the wide end of the crescent focal. Repeat to attach a drop approximately every four links for a total of five drops along the chain (moving toward the smaller end of the focal).
STEP 11
Use one 4mm jumpring to attach one lapis chip drop to each 6mm twisted jumpring connecting the 7-inch, 8-inch and 9-inch lengths of chain.

Use one 4mm jumpring to attach one lapis chip drop to the fourth link on the 7-inch length of chain. Repeat to attach a drop approximately every four links for a total of five drops along the 7-inch, 8-inch and 9-inch lengths of chain.
