Necklace1

STEP 1
Cut a 1-1/2 inch circle from the copper sheet. Anneal and pickle the cut portion.
STEP 2
Cover the disc with painter's tape and punch two holes directly opposite from each other approximately 1/4 inch into the disc. Remove the tape then clean the disc with copper cleaner and a soft cloth. Wipe down with alcohol and let dry.
STEP 3
Use a permanent marker to draw the desired design onto the disc. Etch for 30 minutes.
STEP 4
Sand off the etch coating. Apply a thin coating of patina gel to the front. Let sit for one minute then rinse the gel off. Sand off patina to achieve the desired look.
STEP 5
Place the disc into the appropriate spot on a dapping block. Use a dapping punch to give the disc a dome shape.
STEP 6
Cut two 14-inch lengths of Accu-Flex® professional quality beading wire and seven 8-inch lengths of Accu-Flex.
STEP 7
String a crimp and an Accu-Guard™ wire protector onto a 14-inch beading wire. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the Accu-Guard leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end. Crimp then add a crimp cover.
STEP 8
String 4x1mm polymer clay beads, 4mm bicones and 5x1.5mm rondelles as desired, using the image as reference. Leave approximately 1 inch of wire on the end.
STEP 9
String a crimp then pass the wire around the tip of round-nose pliers. Pass the wire back through the crimp then remove the pliers to leave a small loop. Crimp to secure the strand. Trim excess wire.
STEP 10
Repeats Steps 7 - 9 to create a second strand.
STEP 11
Pass the small loops from each strand onto an eye pin. Pass the eye pin through a cone and one side of the cutout disc. Form a wrapped loop.
STEP 12
String a crimp onto an 8-inch wire. Pass the wire back through the crimp. Crimp to secure the strand then add a crimp cover.
STEP 13

STEP 15
Repeat Steps 12 - 14 to create a total of seven strands.
STEP 16
Pass the small loops from each strand onto an eye pin. Pass the eye pin through a cone and the opposite side of the cutout disc. Form a wrapped loop.
