When and how did you begin making jewelry/beading?
Actually, the Beads for Life from the ladies in Uganda inspired me to "up-cycle." I knew Styrofoam was really bad for the environment, so I figured out a way to transform the Styrofoam into surprising new things ... and then began researching the "Styrofoam world," if you will. I learned so much. For example, 25 billion Styrofoam coffee cups go to the dumps every year. And did you know there is an island made completely of trash as big as Texas in the Pacific Ocean?!?!? I was then inspired to start The Styrofoam Recycling Initiative for St. Louis. I am now trying to sell my jewelry and beads to help support this program and promote awareness of the pros and cons of Styrofoam. Saving the world ... one cup at a time. (And now using packing Styrofoam too!)

Who introduced you to beading?
Etsy and private shows.
