Fire Mountain Gems and Beads 2009 Jewelry-Making Contest Finalist
I obtain my inspiration from everything that surrounds me, such as shapes, abstract art, architecture and the beauty of nature. I would describe my style as bold, intricate, contemporary and vintage, with a bit of flair. I am most proud of my Hearts of the Ocean collar as it is the first ''art'' piece I designed. It took many layers to accomplish the look.

I started beading about three and a half years ago when I decided to put beads onto some drapes I made. I found myself beading into the early hours of the morning because it was so enjoyable. I then went online to look for beads and first came across Fire Mountain Gems and Beads and was amazed by all of the supplies! I also found Wire-Sculpture.com and all of the wonderful pieces of jewelry that Preston made, so I bought a beginning DVD and some wire. I haven't stopped making jewelry since.
If I had a choice, jewelry-making would be 100% of my life. But since I have to work full-time, I only get to work on my pieces at night and on the weekends. I have just started selling my pieces in a boutique and I also go to craft and art fairs and sell there.
