This is an inspiring piece because it is so elegant!

When and how did you begin making jewelry/beading?
2010--when I was looking for jewelry for my destination wedding, I was having trouble finding pieces that were simple but fun. And the pieces I did find seemed to be too expensive. I decided to see how hard it would be to make my own jewelry and I have been hooked ever since.
After I decided to start making my own jewelry, I began thinking about my style. I love the elegance a piece of jewelry can bring to a look. Beads just add so much color and fun to an outfit.
Do you have an artistic background?
No--I work in Accounting.
How did you discover Fire Mountain Gems and Beads®?
When I was searching online for reasonable but different pieces, I stumbled across Fire Mountain.
What other hobbies do you have?
I love to go running, go out to dinner with friends and to read a good book.
Do you belong to any beading societies or beading groups?
No, but would love to join some day!
What role does jewelry-making play in your life?
Jewelry allows me to have a hobby outside my normal job. I get a creative outlet through making jewelry! I find it to be a great stress reliever, too!
If you used jewelry-making as a way to bring in income, how are you selling yourself and your jewelry?
I do have a website www.destinationdiva.biz and I have also applied to be in a few jewelry shows and craft fairs in the future. I also applied for an emerging artist contest.
Do you participate in any charity fundraisers?
I have not, but I plan to.
Any advice for aspiring jewelry-artists?
If it is what you like to do, then do it!!
