||Meet the Designer-Artist
Where do you live?
Describe your artistic style.
I enjoy many different styles of jewelry-making, but mostly embroidery with seed beads, stones and Swarovski crystal. I also use in my work sterling silver, gold-filled materials, freshwater pearls and Czech Beads.
What inspires you as a designer-artist?
I wouldn't tell anything can inspire me for jewelry-making. Ideas for my designs come into my mind all the time by themselves. Sometimes it looks like jewelry makes itself and just uses me for making it.
What is the name of the piece you submitted with your success story?
Bead Caps Bracelet
What inspired this design?
Design for the bead caps bracelet I am submitting I made by chance. Choosing bead caps for another piece, I took two different types and put them together. Then I thought they look pretty together and can be a bracelet.
Share Your Background
Do you have an artistic background?
Everybody in my family enjoys needlework as a hobby. I was 4 when I first starting knitting. All my life I enjoy making something with my hands--knitting, crochet, fabric burning, jewelry-making. I am a fashion designer by occupation.
How did you discover Fire Mountain Gems and Beads®?
When I saw the first beaded jewelry about one year ago, I thought, I can try to make it for fun. I discovered Fire Mountain Gems and Beads writing with people in a forum on the internet.
What role does jewelry-making play in your life?
I have my jewelry in a display case at a store in a mall by my name. But I still consider jewelry-making a hobby. I just make jewelry the way I like to.
