The Power of Color in Jewelry: What Color Messages are You Sending?
by Susanne Kathol, Exclusively for Fire Mountain Gems and Beads®
Have you ever thought about how your favorite color makes you feel? Why you've selected particular colors for a given design? Or considered how potential customers may react to colors in your designs?
Color is one of the most fulfilling elements in our lives and can attract attention and/or change our moods. Colors can create physical and emotional reactions, acting on both the body and mind. Scientists have found that actual physiological changes take place in human beings when they are exposed to certain colors. Colors can stimulate, excite, depress, tranquilize, increase appetite and create a feeling of warmth or coolness.
Here's a simple guide to common colors, the personality traits they represent and the types of first-impression, psychological emotion they may invoke. You'll find product suggestions to easily incorporate these colors into designs.
