Statement Studs

Design Idea 88HM Earrings

Everyone loves jewelry, but not everyone wants to scream, "look at me!" For the people who believe less is more, it's all about making a statement without making a scene. One ideal way to make a minimalist statement is with stud earrings.

As with most trends in our society, we look to Hollywood and the red carpet to verify what's hot and what's not. Stars such as Scarlett Johansson, Emma Stone and many more have been spotted wearing studs to awards shows. Fortunately for the average person, you don't have to have movie star money to jump on the earstud bandwagon. Studs can be budget friendly and are readily available.

Another great thing about studs is the ability to wear them in multiples. And don't limit your earring canvas to your earlobe; take a chance and wear multiple studs in new ear locations, such as the upper ear. Three or four studs in the ear can create a solid, yet simple look.

One more helpful hint about studs: they are relatively comfortable and they won't get tangled in hair as often as other earrings.

Statement Studs Here are some ideas to help you get started:

This design is a good example of squeezing a lot of sparkle into a small space. A flat back Crystal PassionsĀ® crystal rhinestone, encompassed by glass rhinestone cupchain, will leave no doubt about the statement ability of a stud. Play with different combinations of Crystal Passions crystals and cupchain to create the look you desire.

Seed beads and a Crystal Passions pearl combine in this small, but appealing design. The set of studs could be used to make an elegant or outlandish statement, depending on the pearl and seed bead combinations you choose.
